Finally I think I’m getting the hang of this ...

... not the composition necessarily, but the effects of layering one mode (either brighter or darker) on top of one another and also how I can play with white balance to affect the tonal range.  I think a focus on composition will be my next big step.  At least I can see the previous layers in the viewfinder with this mirrorless Canon camera.

A walk with Jan around Ingbirchworth reservoir at lunchtime, which hwas really nice.  Apparently a mile and a quarter - mainly flat and good paths with only a short stretch under the trees that is a bit treacherous.  At least it was dry today.
