Busy Chickens

But not as busy as the two bee hives in the background. My BrexitBuckfastBees are out and about again after the cold snap of the last few days and bringing in lots of pollen, always a good sign. They need to make hay while the going is good, we are due to get snow again on Monday!

Directly in front of the bee hives is an area that has been full of weeds and nettles as well as tree stumps. A place you can't mow so I am trying to work out how to turn it into a bit of a wild flower area and add various flowering herbs, some of which are said to help with various unwanted things around the bees ....varroa mites and ants.

As ALWAYS the chickens were there to get in the way and make work impossible help turn over the ground.
