photos with food colouring

For my Art Coursework this year I was studying how artists use their work to express how they feel. I became very interested in the use of colours and how colours express their mood. I experimented with food colouring in water and photographed it, the blue was the colour that came out the best and it also represents an upset mood, which is what I wanted to achieve as the photo was meant to be based on the time of my life when my Great Nana died.

I have edited the photograph using photoshop, by changing the levels, the brightness and contrast and sharpening the photograph.
