Ice Crystals

We woke up this morning to a light covering of snow again, but the sun was shining brightly so I reckoned the snow wouldn't last long. So I popped out before my pre-breakfast walk with camera, tripod and macro lens to capture some of the shapes before it all melted. Just as well as by 10am it had almost all gone.

As usual I took far too many photos but my Editor & I chose this one for today's blip. Apart from the assortment of fascinating shapes, I like the occasional spots of colour where the light has refracted through the crystals in a particular way, like a glass prism.
