The Glorious 12th

April, not August!

17 weeks later I feel light headed! Wonderful to be one of the first customers back to have a hair raid at my hairdressers and Tracy hasn’t lost any of her scissor magic. Nice weather again, the fence man came early and erected a new fence round our little garden which suffered a serious list after the recent winds. He’s also done a lovely job but we won’t be seeing our Montana Rubens flowering this year as he had to chop her down to the ground. We also had an early visit from the window man who came to measure up for a new double glazed window which has delaminated, or whatever you call it. All good progress made this morning but not such a good afternoon which was spent with my very dear friend Rose whose poor knee has given way yet again causing another fall which has resulted in her tearing her chest muscles badly. She elected not to go to hospital but is struggling to do even the simplest of tasks. The paramedics who came to her aid on Saturday have got a care package organised, but I rather wish we weren’t going away tomorrow so that I could be more help to her. She does have a husband but he is not in the best of health himself so it’s a big worry.

We’re not fans of this getting old business.
