Asparagus (TT307)

Looks like I could be eating some of our asparagus by the end of the week, which fits the tiny Tuesday theme of something to make one happy.  About 11 spears have appeared so far.  Mostly just above the surface, this one is around 40mm tall.

Thanks to Pink Haired Lady for hosting Tiny Tuesday.

Thanks also for your comments yesterday - Gill's vision is returning to normal now.  She did have a call from Warwick hospital this morning,  but as they couldn't see the referral from Walsgrave there wasn't much else they were going to do by way of follow up.  There does appear to be a lot of poor info about which hospitals provide a walk-in eye problem clinic, even among the staff.
At Walsgrave patients have to call first,  but we didn't find that out until Gill was in the building yesterday.

{begin: Victor Meldrew moment}
So to get an urgent eye problem seen to:
Walk in to Walsgrave A&E, get sent to minor injuries, get sent to the eye clinic,
Read the big notice - there are a few of these - note phone number
Walk out (for a phone signal)
Make several attempts to call the receptionist
Walk back in - explain to the (very busy) receptionist you were the patient who just called - she is sympathetic and puts you into their queue - but needs to answer her ringing phone ....
Short wait
Receive assessment & possibly treatment
Next day - circular conversation with Warwick Hospital eye clinic receptionist - she is very clear about what they can't do - and very little else.
Receive text message asking for feedback.
