Pigeon amongst the blossom

For Wild Wednesday with thanks to Cailleach. It's a bit of a silly pigeon because it has been trying to build a nest on our terrace just above our garden settee next to the house and we can't allow that , as it would mean we would either have to leave the electric shutters of our garden doors  either open or closed for all the time that the nest is occupied, that's a bit too much to ask, as burglars are roaming everywhere and leaving it closed all the time would deprive me of the view of the back garden.

I was thinking of posting quite another image because the immigration saga is continuing and getting weirder every day. You might think 'what an idiotic request to ask the mother of a 6-month-old baby to provide official statements to prove that she has been caring for her baby from the day he was born', but okay, we ask the midwives, maternity care and the baby health clinic for such statements. Midwives and maternity care have today declined for "privacy" reasons (I am completely baffled, whose privacy?) ! The baby health clinic is discussing whether it is allowed to give such a statement, but said that as a parent you can access your child's file via your DigiD. As it turns out, the file is not open, you have to request that and it can take 4 weeks before they show it because they have to screen it first for privacy reasons (again whose privacy??). Why does the Immigration request official evidence that does not seem to be available for very weird reasons? The world is covered in inexplicable red tape ! There's a saying in Dutch 'we zitten met onze handen in ons haar', we're with hands in our hair, at our wits end ... see extra

But we'll get it done one way or another ! meanwhile ...

Tomorrow the optional theme  for Abstract Thursday is 'hitch in the pattern'. Patterns itself are great subjects for abstracts, but when there's a slight distortion in a regular pattern it becomes even more interesting. The tag will be AT303
