Button with a history

For today's Tiny Tuesday theme of 'button' I dived into late mother-in-law's sewing box and found a little tin with metal blazer buttons. They were mainly the same, either completely flat or with a relief of something that looked like a knight in armour on a horse, but this tiny one looked special. I could only decipher what was on it by looking through my macro lens. This button says 'Ludovicus Rex Plures Non Capit Orbis' ,freely translated from Latin, there can't be more than one King Ludovicus (Louis, Ludwig, Lodewijk) in the world. Of course I tried to find out more about this and to my surprise found a whole article about a similar button here :-) With thanks to MaryElizaR for hosting Tiny Tuesday this month and for the great theme.

Buttons mean button holes, today's Lockdown Top 10 song: Hole in the world - Eagles

We did our weekly grocery shopping this morning and went to mow the grass at the other house (we're allowed to do these things in the NL during what the authorities call an intelligent lock-down).

Thanks very much for the kind comments and stars for yesterday's mood mono egg :-)
