Blip Friends Reunited

I met Sarah through Blip some years ago after moving to Brighton, and for the last 2.5 years she’s been living in Houston, Texas. Fortunately she moved back to Brighton at the end of March and was out of quarantine in time for us to meet up before we leave.

We met up in Preston Park this afternoon when I finished work and had a walk before sitting for a hot chocolate at the Rotunda cafe. We bumped into Rose in the park, and it turned out that Rose and Sarah follow each other on Instagram but have never met before, so that was nice and Rose kindly took this photo for us.

My email to Michelle at the solicitors last night seemed to do the trick, and miraculously our searches are back! The buyers solicitors have also been in touch and we’re now looking at a completion date of either 29th or 30th! I phoned the removal company to see if they still have availability and she said it’s very tight. It’s a catch 22 situation as we can’t book the removals until we’re ready to exchange, as once we book, we have to pay on full, and if we had to change the days, we’d have to pay a 20% fee. So the pressure’s on!

With regards to that young girl I mentioned yesterday, she called this morning, very upset. She was crying because she’d missed our call offering her the emergency appointment last night, but Nik said he’d see her tonight, so she was much happier and hopefully he’ll get her on the road to recovery.
