Low tide

Heading back from a site visit I needed to make a call that I knew would involve taking some notes. So I pulled up here by the banks of the Mersey at Runcorn.
Its a canny view but at low tide you can see why they also built the ship canal to allow cargo boats to go east even at times like this.
Also seems strange now to see Fiddlers Ferry power station no longer operating. I know its a good thing that coal fired power stations are being phased out, but the cloud factory as we knew it was a regular sight in my childhood. Soon to be demolished.
Ah well.
