Brightening A Dull Day

As it was an overcast day, I thought I would take advantage of colour in the garden for a photo, following on from yesterday's post. Only today, I used an ultra-wide which really emphasised the flowers. I must be only an inch or two from the first.

Lens distortion makes the trees splay out in the top of the frame which seems ok because they echo the leaves. Today I didn't have an issue with the sky blowing out. It was cold and a biting wind, so I'm surprised I managed to get the flowers so sharp. Note - f14 at 1/10!
