Freshly felled

The forestry hut has a Tesco load box outside it. No wheels and no bags of grocery. It sits in clear fell - the grove of scot’s pines that once surrounded the hut harvested and gone.

This spot continues to be beautiful, despite the industrial operations that have washed over it and the barren Sitka that will grow up again to enclose it. One day there will be a native first here, supporting a rich eco system. Not any time soon.
