Coastal Birds : Redshank

Travel restrictions were lifted today in Scotland and the sun shone brightly!
Drove to Kip Marina and met up with friends then walked along the coastal path to Lunderston Bay, coffee and a scone in Cardwell Garden Centre then walked back along.  Lovely to see the sea, chat with friends and stroll in the sunshine, spotting coastal birds, lambs in the fields and lots of lockdown puppies!
Main picture is of a redshank which was pulling up it’s food from the sand, extra is of a Wheatear which is a new bird to me, both birds were solitary but we also saw groups of oystercatchers and some Merganser in the water.
