Greater Stitchwort

Today I was off for an early morning walk to see if I could find the hares we had spotted a few weeks ago.  I wanted to do the full circular walk and am glad that I stopped fairly soon to take a photo of some violets.  It was then I discovered I had left the memory card at home so I quickly headed home and returned half an hour later.  I again took some shots of the violets and these Greater Stitchwort flowers before heading for the fields where the hares may be.  Unfortunately I didn't see any.  It was a lovely sunny, calm but cold morning and the sea was a beautiful deep blue.  I didn't hear that many skylarks but after watching for awhile spotted the odd one coming down to ground probably feeding young.
