An ordinary life....

Irresistible!

Today is a momentous day!

Today travel lockdown officially ended in Scotland and we are now able to travel anywhere within our border.  Woo hoo.

This little fella didn't have to travel far to visit us as he lives within Perth and Kinross but he and his lovely owner Lin were our first visitors in this new era.

House visits not yet allowed but thankfully the weather was sunny, warm and dry.  So with sun shining on the decking and the Gin Palace doors and windows wide open, social distancing rules followed, we enjoyed a lovely visit.

K is a quieter and less inquisitive puppy than Lola was.  He made me realise just how overly confident, adventurous and wilful she was!  It would seem our place in life to be given challenging babies be they human or canine!  :-))

I was a bit worried about how Lola would be with him as she doesn't have any experience with puppies.  I needn't have worried, she was fabulous with him.  Taught him every bad habit she knows (he may be quiet but he's clever and a very fast learner!) so he spent the afternoon stripping bark off trees, gathering and attempting to chew big sticks, digging moss, chasing pigeons, rubbing his lovely fur in the dirt....but she was also really gentle and patient with him.  He followed her everywhere.  It was so cute.  I've put some more shots in extras :-)

His coat is much darker than Lola's as he is from Golden Retriever working lines.  All the working line dogs are much darker and more slightly built than the show line.  I hope it won't be too long till we see him again.  They grow so quickly at that age.  He's ten weeks old and Lin says she can a difference in his leg length in the two weeks since she brought him home.

After they left we had our dinner courtesy of J&F's Dine at Home, so I didn't have to cook.  Woo hoo.

Now looking forward to tomorrow's get together with family for the first time since September.
