Cowslip

A rather lovely cowslip in our meadow in the late afternoon sunshine.

It was positively warm at times today when the sun was shining - but there's still a distinct nip in the air, and nights are - literally - freezing.  Come on spring - let's be having you!

We went to a local garden centre today, and I was hoping to make a little outing of it by stopping for a cup of coffee - but it was HEAVING.  So after purchasing what we could from our list, and nipping into the associated farm shop for a couple of bunches of the first of this year's local asparagus, we went home for our coffee.
