Oops

I sawed through the ivy faster than I expected and trapped the bowsaw blade on the other side. I had to fetch my embarrassingly blunt crosscut saw to rescue it. The ivy just shrugged and carried on growing.

Hush, but very, very tentatively, I think there might be signs of life in one of my ten grafted apple scions. All the rootstocks are starting to bud so at least they are alive. I shall be inspecting the scions at least every two hours for the next few days.
