Towards Yarlside

We keep away from the honey spots in the Lakes at weekends. A Wainwright Outlying Fell walk from the Shap bothy  on the A6 took us to some lesser known peaks, the highest was Great Yarlside but the one with the best view was Wasdale Pike. Some of you will be saying "Hang on, I thought you were near Shap, Wasdale is in the Western Fells" . We are both right. There is a little known Wasdale Beck in the valleys near Shap that boasts its own Wasdale Head Farm . See extra. I expect its ruined because it got fed up with being confused with the other Wasdale Head at the top of Wastwater, miles away over in the west.  Anyway a 10km circular walk in the sun and we did not see a single other walker.  The Blip is Mr P heading towards Little Yarlside , with Great Yarlside in the far distance.
