The track had the look of an ancient pathway, deep below ground level and lined with many different tree and hedge varieties. Then I noticed this! The roots belong to a sycamore tree, but the pebble soil below looks as though it could once have been riverbed. I don't think anyone else would've noticed if I hadn't been jumping up and down ecstaticly, saying "Look at this!" There's an extra of our shadows.

A Ramblers group walk from Repton, only a 15 minute drive from me. The weather was hot and sunny... although I was the only one in shorts, and there were lots of folk to catch up with, socially distanced of course.
