Waiting patiently for the big day

A walk in Queens Park before church this morning ...... a bit dreich but in most weather fresh air and exercise can be enjoyed.

Coots must build one of the most untidy nests to be a home for their new family .... even with the female sitting on the nest her partner was still improving the home by bringing sticks and bits of moss. The nest usually floats in the middle of the pond but this one seems to be stuck against some wooden posts ...... just hope it's not too handy for any predators.
