Who’s zooming who

A very old friend of mine and a fabulous singer Jackie Rawe had a little birthday do on zoom tonight, really lovely to see her and some other friends and meet some new people too.

Max was out doing a very intense photo shoot all day, I posted about, went to Lidl, decided to make a chicken korma, Erin and Gulliver made a vegan curry, Max made some onion bhajis and the five sat down to dinner together and had a real feast it was lovely, then we watched Team America lol.

I gave my niece Genevieve some vocal coaching on Skype today, we did two half hour sessions with a 40 minute break in between, we started by reading through the lyrics of the songs chosen and trying to decide what they meant and then we looked for ways for her to make the mean something to her and tap into her own emotions, after we done this she had a break to think about it in practice and then she send me the song, we talked about her performance and decided to ditch the microphone stand, we talked about the emotional arc of the song and how the hand gestures facial expressions and body movements could mirror that, she takes direction really well and she has a fabulous voice. She is studying music at six form college and this song is part of a project she is working on.
