Two Officers Down

Two police officers were shot and killed in the line of duty earlier this week. Santa Cruz is a small town and it had quite an impact on everyone. This image is part of the 2 mile long procession of police officers and firefighters who came to San Jose from Santa Cruz (35 miles away) to have the memorial to these two officers. They had to use the H/P Pavilion for the memorial due to the number of officers and civil servants that attended the event. At one point later in the day, a squadron of helicopters flew over the pavilion in honor of the fallen.

Here's to those who put their lives on the line everyday to make our lives a bit safer.
