Santa Clara Valley - Historic Orchard

This is what the Santa Clara Valley mostly looked like before the 60's. This is in South San Jose, a city of over 1M. It's nice to be able to find this still around without a lot of development and roads. It's located about a half a mile from the original Fairchild building. Now, something else, Fairchild was where all the semiconductor science came from to start companies like intel, apple, AMD, and many more no longer in the ranks. It's also where all the memory chips came from to fuel IBM mainframes. From apricots, plums, and cherries, to memories, microprocessors, and personal computers - a little history from Silicon Valley, once a vibrant farming and orchard landscape.

Enjoy!
