White wine

The highlight of the day was an outdoor pub outing with friends to The Manor Arms in Streatham. It also meant the first train journey of the year for us: Wimbledon Chase to Streatham. It was outdoors but mainly covered, in case of rain, with electric heaters scattered about the walls. I’ve invested in a heated waistcoat that can be attached to a better and provides some heat. It works really well for the back but, because it’s sleeveless, it highlights how cold your arms get. Regardless of the temperature, it was lovely to be in a social setting with some drinks and a burger. £28.56 for a bottle of wine is much more expensive that the ones on the fridge but it was great to be out.

We realised on the way home that this will be the first time this year that the timer switch on the front lights will have turned them off before we get home. Perhaps a sign of a return to something that seems like normality?
