Halfway

Today Mr P took part in the LDWA Lyth Valley Anytime Challenge, a 31km circuit of our valley. The valley has high ridges on either side; Whitbarrow in the west and Scout Scar in the east. My job was to meet him with food and drink half way, as he dropped down off Whitbarrow, pictured here.   He was very pleased with his time; 4.5 hours. So far, 55 people have entered but only 13 have actually done the challenge and Mr P is lying in 2nd place. Plenty of time left yet though for someone to beat his time because they have until 30 September.  Rather him than me,  although I notice the slowest time posted of the 13 completers to date is 7.5 hours , so maybe ................., no I think not.
