Varied route

Decided to go into the estate for today’s walk, but to enter via the fields, and past what I call the “spiky tree” (extra).  Saw P, whom we see in the local, by the cricket field so we had quite a long chat - mainly about whether he could sit and watch the cricket without a beer!  I then walked along the Low Wood pathways and back past the mansion.  Looking over the edge of the path I noticed this area with a semi-circular wall around a rocky area. Not sure if any pathways lead to it.  It looks as though it may have been a pond or perhaps a seating area.  Any local Blippers know more?  Quite warm today, and no rain forecast for a while yet.  The recently muddy pathways are now dusty, but not complaining - certainly good for walking!
