Mallard duck hen

Last week (April 9) I blipped a duck egg in my garden. I had not visited the garden since until today when I was surprised to see this duck camouflaged there. We have black plastic covering the soil to prevent weeds from overtaking our garden space. Just under the edge of that black plastic is where this Mallard hen is sitting on her nest. I suppose the sun on the black plastic warms the nest, keeping the eggs warm while mom goes to find food.
