Back at Newbattle today. Preparations are being put in place for the partial return of the students next Monday. It does feel like things are starting to finally get back to normal.
This floor was designed to replicate the original Cistercian 12th century floor tiles. It comprises 13,226 pieces of wood, all hand carved from trees on the Newbattle estate, including plane, larch, pear, oak, yew and elm.
