Two Sides of Suffolk Agriculture

The main photo is of a pair of lambs with their mother in Ickworth Park this morning. Last time we were here, a few weeks ago there were no lambs: today lambing appears to be in full swing.

Back home and this afternoon farmworker Eddie was out spraying the winter wheat in the big field out at the back of us. He saw me lining up for a photo and stopped for a chat. His spray was a mix: a bit of fungicide, some magnesium I thought he said, plus some Chlomequat which is a growth regulator, trying to stop the wheat growing too tall.
