Now that travel restrictions have been lifted we were able to go to Aberlady Nature Reserve this morning for the first time this year.  It felt so good to be by the sea again and to see the thrift starting to flower, hear and see various birds and watch gannets diving into the water at speed and male eider ducks trying to woo the females. I was surprised to see a trail of tiny footprints going up one of the steep sand dunes and wondered if it could possibly be an otter as I believe there have been sights on the nearby lochans on the other side of the dunes.  Perhaps someone might enlighten me.
