Now there are 3

The weather forecast was good so we decided to go up Ben Lomond, so that meant another early start to make sure we could get parked in Rowardennan. It was a lovely crisp day and we walked up the Ptarmigan ridge as opposed to the ‘tourist’ route. It was sheltered from the breeze, which was quite cool as it was from the east, and also just generally quiet. We had early lunch at the col before the final ascent as it was warm and calm there. We saw 15 other people before we reached the top and then another 127 before we got back to the car park. I reckon at least 200 people went up the hill today, but it wasn’t in the least bit busy as they were mostly in twos and it was never crowded. This makes only 3 Munros left now. The blip is a shot from just below the summit as we were descending with the eastern coire and views as far as the Ben. A cracking day.

Best on black.
