the 'Windy Gowl' Glacial Drainage Channels

Yet another wonderful days' walking on the far-Western edge of The Pentlands - this time, we went along to, and through, the 'Windy Gowl' Glacial Drainage Channels :-)

... you can read a lot more about the main channel and its quite remarkable glacial-features, via this link - the main snap here, shows the view (looking West) at the far end of the channel; and as you can see, we had really glorious weather again! And also, once again, had the whole walk completely to ourselves with not another soul on the route.

1st extra shows 'M' and 'R' as we entered the channel near Carlops ; 2nd extra shows 'R' admiring the view at the high-point of the walk, just as we'd we climbed out of the far end of the channel; 3rd and 4th extras shows some of the waymarkers along the route.

Just another perfect day :-)
