Morning at Morston

I set off early for a bimble around Morston Quay. After a month of no rain, the notoriously wet and slippy ground is fine for walking on. Two artists were painting, what a lovely thing to be able to do. It was a beautiful morning - I've added an extra collage of the boats and geese. Six of us from the U3A psychology group met up at lunchtime for a socially distanced chat at Weybourne beach, 4 of them having fish and chips! Then we had a walk along the cliff top. Beautiful weather again today, although still a chilly 9C on the coast. (I left my parcel from yesterday out for collection - it's still there!)

Positive news that President Biden has committed the US to reducing its greenhouse gas emissions by 50% from 2005 by 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality before 2060.

Day 402 /  Day 11 of Step 2 of Roadmap Easing (for my record only)
UK deaths up 18 to 127,345 (revised basis), with 2,729 new cases, 1,915 patients in hospital, 276 on ventilation and 140 new admissions. 33.3m have now received their first dose of the vaccine and 11.2m have had their second dose (so a third of those who've had a jab are now fully vaccinated). There have been 150,841 deaths with Covid on the death certificate. An astonishing 1 in 20 people admitted to intensive care with Covid has blood cancer, which shows the vaccine is not working as well for this group per Blood Cancer UK. The EU is considering taking legal action against Astra Zeneca over its 'complete failure' to deliver on contractual agreements. After being suspended since Jan in England and Wales, driving tests have now restarted.
