My topsy-turvy life

By Rathmandu

Note the date day we were expecting

We both booked today off work to try and take thd opportunity to spend some quality time together, just the two of us.

We waved Aaron off to school, dropped Owen off at nursery, grabbed some breakfast on the way home and then got a phone call to say that they thought Owen had chicken pox - his eye's been sore but he hasn't had a widespread rash, but the nursery have had an outbreak so know what they're looking for. So date cancelled...sort of. Nan offered to step in and look after the little fella so we could spend at least some time together.

I'd booked us onto the Sabrina boat tour and it was a bit of a rush to get there in time but we managed it and had a nice 45minute pootle up the river and back in the sun with a cold cider, occasionally waving back at people in the Quarry. Very quaint. Unfortunately with the change of plans neither of us had managed to get ready quite the way we intended, hence looking a bit like we'd just rolled out of a festival*. Boat trip done we had a coffee & cake in town before picking Owen up, along with some calamine. The spots have started to come out now.
