Cowgate - OX184

Beautiful warm sunny morning.  I took a different route for my run - through the Grassmarket and the Cowgate, up St Mary's Street following the streets up to and round Waverley train station then back via George Street.  The photo is the OX184 pub on the Cowgate.   Lots of activity with shops and restaurants getting ready to open on Monday when the Covid rules change.  On George Street staging was being built for outside dining and the flower boxes were getting a spring / summer makeover.

We spent the afternoon at the allotment - planted the onion sets and some herbs, turned the compost bin, fed and mulched the fruit and watered everything with the hose pipe!
