LD 397 A find...

Admittedly not  much of a find in the great scheme of things, but I am always fascinated when I turn up a bit of old pottery in the garden, or most of a distinctively shaped bottle.

It makes a tangible connection with the generations of people who have lived and worked  here at Feorlean , both the in existing house which dates from the 1790s and in the (very)  small township that is on the Pont Map , dating from the last 15 years or so of the 16th century , the ruins of which are just beside where I am writing this. 

Cathleen actually found this today as we dug out stones prior to spreading grass seed on a newly reclaimed area of ground.
