Hanami

Today I read about the Japanese hanami, the appreciation of the short lived beauty of cherry blossoms. Mine are at their peak now and I have been appreciating them while resting between gardening.
I love this time of year when everything bursts into flower. And a bit later on these will turn into delicious red cherries!
Apparently this year the cherry blossoms in Japan have seen the earliest season in 1200 years!
