Coffee and cake

At last the borders to Wales opened and I went for a walk with a friend I hadn’t seen for a while! As I am still virtually working in Holland and it is the Dutch Kings birthday today I had a day off after a very busy last 10 days at work. I was very grateful for that!
Great to be able to visit at a quiet time during the week. Ewloe castle sits right in the forest, a very romantic, peaceful and intriguing setting, built by Llywelyn the Great some time after 1210.
We had a nice coffee and cake from the cafe at the park entrance and a good chin wag under the trees!
