A walk with friends

Our friends picked us up at 8am this morning and we drove south of Auckland to Waitawa Regional Park, where we went for an 8.6 km walk up and down the hills in the park. We definitely had the best part of the day by starting the walk just after 9am as by the time we returned for our picnic lunch the wind was whipping up and we had to anchor everything down or it would have gone flying. We came across an area of the park where a game called Disc Golf is played.  Apparently a frisbee is used (no golf clubs!) and it’s quite exciting.  It would have been extremely exciting in today’s wind! The photo is of one of the many beautiful vistas we enjoyed during the walk.
