A Meandering Life...

Richmond

Today is the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs 'Drive it Day'. Matilda is a member of the Yorkshire Dales Classic Car Club and the Harrogate MG Owners Club* but we ventured out on our own.

We did a 50 miles round trip that included Richmond, Leyburn and a number of villages along the way. We only saw one other classic car, a Jaguar, as we entered Richmond. A wave was exchanged.

Here Matilda is in Richmond's Market Square. It was busy and we only stopped to take the image. She was in a loading bay! They are celebrating 950 years since the Normans started building the castle. I'm not sure it is finished yet but you can see the tower is up...

* She is a member of the MG club because she has attended their show in Pateley Bridge for the past 6 times.
