Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse and Hamelin Bay WA

We set off on an off-road 4Wheel drive adventure today courtesy of being able to borrow WW’s brother ‘s Jeep . The trip was over very narrow and rocky steep terrain that the van wouldn’t have a chance on and satellite mapping was essential as it would be so easy to get lost on the crisscrossing of tracks.WW was very good at keeping all 4 wheels on the road and it was absolutely exhilarating.
We trekked through Leeuwin Naturaliste Park and the effort was worth it.
We were there by ourselves experiencing the most sublime coastal scenes of The Indian Ocean.
The last extra is a water wheel ruin which was spring fed and pumped water to the lighthouse keepers residence.
