Evening Aspens

A strange kind of light this evening, sort of veiled and diffused, dullish but still some direction to it. The aspen trees were in the direct path of the light and stood out dramatically against the darker surround.

I shot from a distance at nearly the full extent of my telephoto so as to not disturb the ducks and geese which are nesting at that end. They are timid.

It seemed a difficult image to process being quite flat and took a bit of fiddling to get the white trees to be as bright as I remember without making the overall image too dark.
