Swallows' Nest

The swallows seem to be having a lot of fun high up in the tree catching the evening sun. Every now and then a new playmate arrived, disturbing the balance and causing the flock to scatter, before circling round, to resettle and find new order. 

Fortunately the light was good enough to allow a high shutter speed so I could catch a few birds in flight. And with them more or less on one plane I opened the aperture for more speed. The biggest challenge was finding a spot to avoid the foreground branches, causing me to crouch down in an awkward position.
