Bobbing Along

I seem to be getting a little better at bird photography, probably beginner's luck. This is apparently a sora, a type of rail. Quite rare to see them, but they are fairly common. I think it's a juvenile. I used the Merlin Id app to upload a photo to identify it.

I happened to see it at the shore just pecking away at the water. It didn't seem to be all that bothered by me and I was able to get quite a few shots, which was fortunate because I was all fingers and thumbs trying to focus and capture a good pose. I was also fortunate to have some good light for a change.
