Sole Mates

Shooting into the sun didn't help as the birds were in shadow and backlit. At first I thought the goose had offspring, but then I realised they were ducks. Billy no-mates, the ring-necked duck, was hanging out with a pair of blue-winged teals. They were feeding on duck weed.

I managed to get enough depth of field to get both the duck and goose in focus together, although by raising iso to compensate. The goose was on its own as well.

This image is cropped in a bit with additional sharpening in Topaz. Turned out a lot better than I first thought.
