Bath Time

Finally feels like spring is here, a warm day and this evening the light was lovely. A group of blue-winged teal, busy preening and bathing themselves in the mouth of the inlet, seemed to enjoy the warmth. Every so often a dip under water, then a flapping of wings, followed by ferocious straightening of feathers.

Extra: What's In A Name. Brown-headed Cowbirds, I can't imagine how they came to be named so.
