The Plank

Some more stuff has been built rather than torn down today. We now have a slab of concrete that will form the basis of the entrance to the utility room. The old stone walls to either side have their steel in place, and will be shuttered and then have concrete cast to create the door jambs later later on.

Soon the masons will be going on holiday for a fortnight, and while it's been dry so far, rain is forecast while they are away, and they are trying to decide what to do. At the moment the extension is wide open to the weather, so if it rains it could potentially comes straight into our living room, and even if we don't have a flood it could turn the site floor into a mud bath...!
