Roadmap Out Of Lockdown Step 2 - Day 18

Once upon a time Conygre Farm, the old farmhouse that stands on top of the hill, above the River Chew, was completely surrounded by green fields. But over time, the town has grown and most of those green fields have disappeared. “Coneygre” is the name for the rabbit warren that served the town’s Abbey, and, along with the surrounding pasture called “Winterleye”, is noted as Abbey held land which was enclosed in 1280.

After delivering a birthday present this morning, stopped on my walk home to take this photo. Just after I took the photo, the sun came out, and a nano second after that my camera battery went flat! Another chilly day of 10 degrees. Made the mistake of watching a programme about the sunny Dorodgne this afternoon. I’ve now got very itchy feet!

Take care, stay safe and well...
