Phare du Stiff

A model of the lighthouse called "Le Stiff" off the coast of Finistère in France. This photo was taken with a macro lens and an extension tube, hence the very shallow depth of field. I blagged the extra photo of the real thing off the internet.

"Le Stiff" is located at the eastern end of the island of Ouessant. The tower is 32.4 metres in height and the light has a range of 24 nautical miles. The tower was originally built in 1700, the light electrified in 1957 and fully automated in 1978.
