Stephen and his biggest fan

Nate is a huuuuge fan of Stephen's, he calls him his best friend and thinks he's the bees knees (we all think that though!).
Danny was up and out early to go prayer walking with Marcial. A quick family breakfast and then Danny and the kids headed to the aquarium and Stephen and I headed to the prison. So good to see Ed...he'd not allowed himself to believe the news of expulsion when he'd seen his lawyer yesterday, but as we talked he began to settle into the news and let himself start to hope that this might be real. We're just hoping and praying he still gets to have a permiso weekend with us before he's sent to the UK. Brilliant to see him and the hour flew by, so much so that Stephen and I never swapped over so I didn't get a chance to chat to M this week. So nice to walk out of the prison to blue sky and sunshine. A lot of Ibiza's jail is built underground, so once you're inside you go down into a dark electric light area, and even though there's security etc, and glass between you, there are still bars on the glass...a constant reminder that you're in a secure place. I can't imagine how Ed will feel when he's got his freedom back...it'll be a big adjustment no doubt.
Stephen came back for lunch which was lovely - he fits into life so easily.
Late afternoon and we took the kids for a bike/scoot along the Port. Many many others had the same idea at the same time!
Home for a film, tea, and bed for the kids. Now for a G&T and some old school 'Friday Night Dinner' viewing with Danny.

Today I'm grateful for;
1) The privilege of entering and leaving the prison.
2) Lovely lovely messages from Ed's Dad throughout the day.
3) Stephen and his influence in Nate's life.
